NCMIC is ready to defend you
Any Naturopathic Doctor can face a malpractice allegation or board complaint. With NCMIC in your corner, you'll never face it alone. NCMIC is here ... ready and waiting to help you through it from the minute you call.
We are happy to provide NDs with the following...
NATIONWIDE NETWORK OF Attorneys
NCMIC has a network of over 500 retained attorneys across the country ready to defend you. Each attorney specializes in healthcare malpractice and understands naturopathic medicine. You won't have to waste precious time explaining your profession.
DEDICATED CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVES TO SERVE YOU
We constantly hear from our policyholders and retained attorneys how much they appreciate our claims representatives. Attorneys applaud their level of knowledge and expertise—over 300 years of combined experience in malpractice insurance. Our doctors compliment the claims representatives' accessibility, willingness to answer questions and explain details, and their ability to calm the doctor's fears.
Claims Advice Hotline
At NCMIC, we want to hear from you any time you have a concern—not just when a claim is filed. That's why we have a Claims Advice Hotline for our policyholders. This ensures that you'll have guidance from our claims representatives whenever you have a concern in your day-to-day practice. By calling our hotline, you may be able to avoid a claim.
LEGAL Defense Costs Paid Outside Policy Limits
An important benefit of NCMIC's Malpractice Insurance Plan is that your malpractice legal defense fees are paid by your NCMIC policy without reducing your available limits of liability. This means your limit of liability will remain intact for a judgment or settlement, and you won't have to pay your defense costs out of your own pocket.
ReimburseMENT FOR your Expenses
NCMIC values your time as an ND. When we request your presence to assist us in the defense of a claim or suit that causes you to be away from your office, we will reimburse you up to $500 per day for reasonable expenses you incur. The maximum is $2,500 per incident/$5,000 aggregate per policy period.
